Employment

Langolab, LLC

Founder, CEO

May 2008 - Present

Langolab facilitates the social accumulation of knowledge about foreign language, grammar, and lessons in a novel way, using a rich client interface to map this knowledge to foreign language video.

I'm currently working to prove the Langolab business model in the countries that spend the most amount of money learning English: Japan, Korea, and China. I single-handedly built almost all of the Langolab technical infrastructure and software.

Networked Concepts, LLC

Founder, CTO

June 2006 - February 2007

The first attempt that my friends and I made at a startup. At NetCon I built the prototype of waves.tv, an online webcam-driven social community.

Independent Contractor

June 2006 - Present

As an independent software consultant I've provided mentorship on software design, testing, and architecture. I've built sizable applications in C# and ASP.NET, usually accessing web services for billing and financial functions. My work often involves hiring and managing offshore development teams to reduce costs and meet deadlines.

Mepco Finance Corporation

Initiator and Software Developer

June 2002 - May 2008

At Mepco I initiated campaigns to transform processes that I knew would benefit from customized software. In each of these cases I identified the possibility for efficiency improvement, single-handedly planned, designed, and built the required software, and then worked with Mepco to integrate the software with their environment and workflow. I created a variety of Desktop, Web, and Windows Service apps, all built with C#/.NET/SQL Server. Extremely enthusiastic recommendation available upon request.
